Licence Watch
What is Sheffield Licence Watch
- Run by licensees for licensees to provide advice and information to all members, which includes all licensable activities e.g. pubs, nightclubs, members clubs, off-licenses, restaurants and late night refreshment establishments.
- An association of all the licensees in the Sheffield area with a constituted committee - encouraged by Sheffield City Council and backed by South Yorkshire Police.
- All licensees are expected by Sheffield City Council and South Yorkshire Police to be members and take an active part in Sheffield Licence Watch.
- Administered by People United Against Crime, the charitable arm of South Yorkshire Police.
- Meetings are held during the year, both Sheffield wide and locally; members are advised to attend as many as possible to retain membership and show a suitable level of due diligence.
- A tri-annual newsletter is published and distributed to all members.
- A 'Rogues Gallery' of photographs and information of recent offenders is also made available, but only issued on a personal basis. These are not for public display.
